Below are the volunteer positions with a brief description of the tasks and time required:
1. Internet/Grant Researcher – 4 hours per week – done remotely
Do you have knowledge of or are willing to learn standard concepts, practices and procedures in finding grants? Use your web searching skills to uncover and identify sources of funding for Phase2Careers.
2. Video Photographer – 1 to 2 hours per event – locations vary
Do you have an eye for capturing on film the dynamics and involvement-taking place in the room that will demonstrate the success of the event? Use your film making skills to showcase our events.
3. Photographer – 1 to 2 hours per event – locations vary
Do you have an eye for capturing on film the dynamics and involvement-taking place in the room that will demonstrate the success of the event? Use your photography skills to showcase our events.
4. Program Notices Coordinator– 1 to 2 Hours per week – done remotely
Do you look at the events section of the newspaper, check out Craigslist to see what’s going on in your community? Use your knowledge about finding out what’s happening around the bay area to help get the word out about Phase2Careers.
5. Twitter/LinkedIn Coordinator– 2 – 4 Hours per week – done remotely
Do you like staying on top of what’s happening with older workers, surfing the web, tweeting and following Linked-In? If so, we can use your skills to do this for Phase2Careers.
6. Data Entry Administrator – 1 to 3 hours per event - done remotely
Are you detailed oriented and like amassing data to see what’s on the minds of others? Use your skills to document the survey data at our events and create charts to showcase them.
7. Event Registration Assistant – 4 hours per event – locations vary
Do you enjoy meeting people and are organized with the ability to multi-task? Use your abilities to register individuals while providing directions at our events and help setup and clean up.
8. Power Point Creator – Contingent on programs – done remotely
Are skilled at Power Point and have a creative eye that gets people focused on the data being presented? Use those skills to create slides for program presentations.
