About Eileen O'Brien:
Eileen O’Brien is the Director of Career Center at College of San Mateo. She provides career and academic counseling to students and community members as well as teaching career assessment and job search classes, and mentors graduate career interns.
Eileen has had a life-long interest in careers and employment which is reflected in the varied positions she’s held. Prior to working at CSM, she spent 10 years in vocational rehabilitation counseling for County of San Mateo Human Services Agency, CA Dept. of Rehabilitation, as well as being self employed in the CA Workers’ Compensation system.
She’s also worked in sales, sales training, human resources and taught elementary school. She has a master degree in rehabilitation counseling from SFSU. In her free time, she reads mysteries, takes her dogs for walks, travels with her son, and goes rafting.
